IKEA 2024 - nytillverkad collection
The second limited edition collection spotted in Ikea last week celebrates the creativity and flower power of the '60s and '70s. The Nytillverkad collection is revised and revived for the fourth time and this edition channels a time of optimism and free-spiritedness. The launch features the revival of Göta Trägårdh's iconic floral patterns introduced in the IKEA Catalogue in the early 1970s and relaunched now in the KRANSMALVA and SANDETERNELL textiles. The collection celebrates creativity, self-expression, and positivity, encouraging people to be more optimistic and confident. The Nytillverkad collection is a celebration of vintage designs reimagined for the needs of today and tomorrow and will be available at IKEA stores globally and online starting in April 2024.

NEW COLLAB - ikea x raw color
Print & Pattern is back from Spring break and one of the places I visited whilst away was Ikea. They had new limited edition collections on display and one was eye catching for it's unusual colour palette and Bauhaus style geometrics. "Tesammans" was created by Dutch design duo Raw Color, an Eindhoven based studio consisting of Daniera ter Haar and Christoph Brach. The collection is designed to highlight how colour can transform everyday objects, and to inspire more people to discover its positive emotional effects. This bold collaboration has resulted in an affordable collection of 18 pieces ranging from furniture to textiles and decorations. Each piece focuses on an unexpected yet harmonious palette to give us surprising colour combinations and playful patterns. 'Tesammans' which incidentally means 'together' or 'in company' in English launched in April and is in all Ikea stores now or online.
